Week 22: March 19th & 21st- To get/have something done

- We exchanged our sentences revising too/enough and so/such.
- We revised the structure have/get something done in 7B and practised it with a spoken activity.
- We sang Remember Me, the song from Coco's soundtrack that won this year's Oscar.
- We saw the vocabulary on film and TV on page 160.
- We saw the sounds and spelling of letter o.
- We compared formal and informal structures in writings.
- We did a reading/grammar test. You can do it at home if you missed the class.
- We did a speaking find-the-difference activity.
- As a homage to the great scientist Stephen Hawking we saw a video of The Big Bang Theory in which Sheldon meets Stephen Hawking.

Week 21: March 12th & 14th- Dying and interesting languages in unit 6

- We had a look at the vocabulary page of unit 6 on page 159: Travel and tourism.
- We practised consonant sounds.
- We revised the reading on Dying languages. - We heard languages that have clicking sounds.
- We saw how to use and build passive sentences and we practised the exercises.
- We did a card game to practise the passive mode.
- We heard an example of another language: El Príncipe Gitano's English version of Elvis Presley.
- We revised the passive and did a warm up exercise with it.
- We revised the reading on Slowing down and practised how to use too/enough and so/such.
- We saw how to introduce requests in conversation.
- We did two listenings in class for the teacher to correct.
- We started a new round of reduced groups with the practice of the conversation of 6E.

- Exercise 3g page 81 to do as a warmer next Monday.

Week 20: March 5th & 7th- Visiting places

- We read our descriptive paragraphs to our classmates.
- We read and listened to tourist comments.
- We revised the use of to infinitives and gerunds after prepositions, adjectives, for subjects and to express purpose.
- We practised the above.
- We practised the pronunciation and meaning of descriptive adjectives.
- We practised convincing our classmates about a holiday destination.
- We saw again our video on unsual tourist attractions and answered our classmates questions.
