Week 26: April 24th & 26th- Working on our presentations and Shakespeare!

- We warmed up by remembering and practising vocabulary from the four stories of first jobs we had read about.
- We did a couple of exercises on the second book we had read (only class B)
- We finished pages 82 and 83 by practising third type of conditional sentences.
- We saw the different parts of a presentation and how to organise the introduction of it (only class A)
- We talked about things that could have gone differently in our lives (with the third conditional)
- We did the listening about PISA on page 84.
- We prepared and delivered our presentations! (class A)
- We enjoyed and interpreted Shakespeare's Sonnet 18. (class A)

Week 25: April 19th— Beginnig of the last term of the year!


- We talked about our break a little bit and remembered the last things we had done before Easter.
- We revised vocabulary about working and jobs with some structures from ex. 1 page 80.
- We corrected the conditionals handout we had to do as homework.
- We did the activities about first jobs on pages 82 and 83.
Homework:
- Ex. 12 page 85: pick up a topic and research some information to have it prepared for a presentation to be delivered on Monday.

Week 24: April 3rd & 5th- Exhibition and anniversary!

UNHCR
- We tried to remember activities from last Wednesday.
- We exchanged the description of our photos for another classmate to guess the photo.
- We tried to understand the refugees' situations with a EU video.
- We checked how the EU was a reaction to the great wars in Europe with an anniversary video. We did a listening activity with it.
- We practised vocabulary and listening comprehension with a specialist on refugee aid: Angelina Jolie.
- We discussed EU politics and corrected conditional sentences.
- We revised some vocabulary we had learnt in the videos and audio.
- We did pages 80 and 81 of the book, we practised conditional sentences with present tenses.
- We saw how to practise pronunciation with Steve Martin!
- We practised silent letters and pronunciation of words that have them.
Homework:
- Finish the conditional photocopy.
- Do a writing on page 27 of the Workbook, ex.6, giving an opinion.
- DP exercise 4, 5 and 6 page 82
