Week 7: November 20th & 22nd, 2017- Film Festival!!L

La La Land
- We saw La La Land in the assembly room.
- We warmed up with questions on the film.
- We revised sentences and vocabulary from the film.
- We revised the vocabulary sheets 2A and 2B.
- We did a gapped phonetic exercise on City of Stars and sang it!

Homework:
- Record a presentation on the film and send it to your teacher. About 3-5 minute long.
- Research about an endangered animal to present the information at the beginning of Monday's class.

Week 6: November 13 & 15th- White Lions and more!

- We warmed up with interesting information about our city (Cambridge, Oxford, London and Swansea).
- We revised future and conditional expressions.
- We revised vocabulary on endangered animals and practised it with a video: The Rare and exotic animals- National Geographic.
- We saw how to use questions tags and their intonation.
- We saw how to compliment someone.
- We practised both complimenting and using question tags.
- We saw the trailers of the film chosen for the Film Festival next Monday: La La Land. This is a second longer one.
- We did 2D and practised how to give advice with clear and direct information.
- We saw a narration on video: How Leonard met Sheldon and tried to answer a question sheet.

- Page 30 Student's Book (Revision and extension)
- Vocabulary pages 2A and Activity A in 2B (given as handout in class)
- Film handout (given in class)

Week 5: November 6th & 8th- Detectives and wild animals

Cabanach Detectives
- We discussed the findings of the dectectives in the Alma case.
- We practised structures to check information.
- We practised expressions with get and pronunciations of sound for letter g.
- We practised narrative tenses.
- We talked about dangerous situations.
- We exchanged our reasons to be famous.
- We saw how to use future time clauses and conditionals.
- We did a listening about a book on a Siberian hunting story.
- We saw vocabulary on animals and the environment.

Homework:
- Exercise 2d, page 24.
- Some research about an interesting and not-so-well-known monument of your city (Cambridge,  Oxford, London, Swansea) to be exchanged at the warming up at the beginning of the class.
