Week 30- May 22nd & 24th- Our last week!

- We started our last week practising money vocabulary.
- We also practised passive structures.
- We prepared and gave our presentations.

Week 29: May 15th &17th- The week of the Virus!!

Jersey Fraud Prevention Forum
- We corrected pages 160-161 and we are going to do the report on page 161.
- We revised connectors on those pages.
- We practised modals of different levels of certainty with a speaking practice: Brain Teasers.
- We saw The Speech, episode nº4, season 3 of IT Crowd.
- We revised structures used in the episode.
- We did a writing in class.
- We started money troubles, page 124.
Homework:
- Unit 113 of the connectors handout.
- Some research on a topic from page 85, ex.12 so that we pracrise presentations next week.

Week 28: May 8th & 10th- The week of The Future!

- We revised vocabulary to talk about celebrating.
- We did pages 88 and 89 and practised the future perfect.
- We corrected the reading we had done in class.
KEY: Ex. 5: 1C, 2B, 3A, 4C, 5A and Ex. 6: 1. topical, 2. behaviour, 3. involvement, 4. discussions, 5. knowledge, 6. politics.
- We also did pages 142 and 143 to practise the future continuous.
- We saw how to use "would" to show formality.
- We practised both tenses with speaking cards of Manager and Photographer.
Homework:
Do pages 160 and 161 to prepare for the last writing: a report.

Week 27: May 3rd- Starting unit 10 and our last month!

Pinterest
- We warmed up with information about PISA tests.
- We saw PISA's website and saw an interesting video about its last results.
- We did the book activities by writing the names of two characters, two places, three things, two verbs and one emotion and imagining the classmate's storyline (class A)
- We started unit 10: Socialising.
- We completed the pages on presentations and delivered one (class B)
- We did the Shakespeare activity by reading the original, then reading the modern translation and then, without looking, explaining Shakespeare's meaning in your own words.

Homework:
Ex. 4 page 90 and reading on page 91.
