Green eyes for the green season

Image taken from Wikipedia
We are going to start by singing a little bit.
Regardless your level of English, try listening to Green Eyes, by Coldplay and try to do the following things:
1. Listen to the song once and write down ten words you get from the lyrics (without checking the actual lyrics, that's it). OK, five will do too!
2. Imagine what the song is about.
3. Listen to it again and identify five verbs. OK, three will do too!
4. Make up a story with those five verbs and these two words: honey and eyes
5. Check the lyrics and see if your story has something to do with the song itself.
6. Play again while looking at the lyrics and sing along.
Have a nice day!

Spring's just arrived

Very few people are indifferent to this particular change of season! Days feel longer and one normally feels more energetic and enthusiastic.

You will have 10 minutes to remind yourself, while listening to the music, of why you want to speak English and a couple of things you would like to do in English.
  • Write them down.
  • Read them out.
  • Repeat and make an extra effort in the pronunciation.
Even if you are a bit late with your studying, get started now and you'll have all the energy of the spring in you!

Welcome!

I have thought of this blog as one more learning tool for students of English.
I'm mainly thinking about That's English! students who seldom come to class and who have little time to surf the net and choose for themselves the right activity.
I hope to be able to include all sorts of listening, reading and video posts to complement their needs in the learning process, and I hope to make it somewhat fun too!
